10mm Bullets for Reloading
This page features our 10mm bullets that are used to reload. If you are looking for loaded rounds that are ready to shoot, please head to our 10mm ammo page.
The 10mm is kind of the “redo” of pistol cartridges. Its handgun and recoil were both deemed too heavy by many law enforcement officers, so the 40 S&W was created to take the 10mm’s place. But you personally don’t mind a little more recoil when it goes along with the 10mm’s immense power.
Many people have noted that quality matters even more than usual when it comes to the 10mm. That plus its high price tag encourages a lot of shooters to reload the massive round. The 10mm’s parent case is obscure by now – production of the 30 Remington pretty much ceased by the late 1980s. Fortunately new 10mm brass is popular enough, as are the large pistol primers and conventional powders you need to reload it.
10mm bullets for reloading are typically jacketed and range in weight from 135 to 200 grains. JHPs and XTPs will make fine self-defense loads, and you can even make your own hunting cartridges. Several states allow hunters to take whitetail with 10mm. Just be certain to follow the 37,500 psi pressure limit and you can do whatever you like with your .400 diameter bullets.

Best Kept Secret
-
High quality 165 grain 40 caliber projectiles, with a deep hollow point. Bullets we’re well packed and double boxed. Loaded up 50 rounds in 10mm at 1250 fps. Fed and cycled perfectly with good accuracy. I would buy these again. I got them on sale, which was great, and the shipping was fair. If you look around on the internet these are a good bargain when compared with all of the big name bullet makers. Good job on keeping these in stock!

Thad in customer support was great. Called and reported lost shipment. A claim was filed with FedEx and Widener's promptly shipped again. I received order in three days and on a Sunday to boot! Great service! Ordered 1000 40 S&W caliber 165 grain JHP Zero Bullets. They look very uniform and well made. Loaded up 100 and test fired 5 shots with no problems. Load data: 5.2 grains Accurate #2 COL=1.125.

Chamber well and shoot accurately
-
These chamber properly in a Glock 20 and seem pretty consistent, probably a lot more than I am. I shot 100 rounds out of this batch with no failures to feed. If the jackets were a little nicer looking I'd give them a five for quality, but they look kind of tarnished and blotchy. They shoot just fine, though. For plinkers they are totally acceptable.

Excellent

Tried these out. Ran them through the Dillion with the on-board powder measure and 7.1gr of CFE Piston. I think they shot better than the Hornady XTP's in a G40. (for some reason the G40 like's the hotter loads and the recoil is not punishing at all and I consider myself recoil shy). I'm an accuracy junky not a power junky. Next stop is to load some .40 with them. I'll buy these again all day long. BTW: really glad I found Wideners.

bullet performance

ordered the 40/10mm zero fmj tc for use in my glock AND my sw 610.
was not disappointed! for a non-expanding max penetration semi-auto round this would be hared to beat! a max load in my g20 put a bullet through 9 milk jugs of water and zipped off into the sunset!! impressive!Review by bob (Posted on 10/2/2023)

Outstanding bullet and price
-
I ordered these bullets just a few days ago and received them on 6-24-16. I loaded some up at three different powder charges of AA9 using once fired brass. At 10 yards the lowest loading gave me an average velocity of 1165fps for an energy level of 603ft/lbs. Holy cow! That should take care of about anything in the lower 48 states. Accuracy was outstanding; out of 5 shots at 10 yds 4 made one jagged hole and the 5th was just 1/8" away.
