50 BMG Brass Casings
50 BMG brass is popular among Ma Deuce gunners in large part because of the cost of buying loaded ammo. That expense, combined with the relatively limited selection of factory loads available for the .50 BMG makes reloading an attractive option for many shooters of this powerful cartridge. The process of reloading is somewhat similar to the .30-06 Springfield, since the .50 BMG is essentially a larger version of its older cousin.
The .50 BMG has served as the standard heavy machine gun cartridge for the US military since 1921 and has also been used for sniping since the 1970s.
