9mm Ammo
9mm Luger ammo has been a runaway favorite among concealed carriers and police agencies. In fact, 9x19 is one of the older handgun cartridges on the market with a history dating all the way back to the early 1900's.
The Luger round was used extensively by the Germans in the P08 and P38 handguns. In the U.S., the cartridge can be considered something of a sleeper hit in its early years, only achieving major popularity in the 1980's with the rise of CCW and semiautomatic pistols.
The 9mm Luger ammo you'll find for sale here at Widener's typically features 115, 124, or 147 grain bullets. Heavier bullets offer strong penetration but lower muzzle velocities, with the 147 grain version falling into the subsonic range. 115 or 124 grain jacketed hollow points from Speer, Federal, Winchester, and many other manufacturers produce a muzzle velocity of around 1,100 feet per second and produce relatively mild recoil while still delivering excellent terminal performance. If you like to shoot centerfire ammo in high volumes, the low cost and low recoil of the 9mm makes it your best bet! Generally, you can expect rounds loaded with full metal jacket bullets to be cheaper than the hollow point defensive counterparts with your best buy coming in bulk.
There have been many handguns chambered for the 9mm Luger, but the most popular for concealed carry today are typically compact pistols like the SIG P938, Glock 43, S&W M&P Shield, Springfield XDs, Ruger LC9, and Kahr CW9. Be sure to take a look at our in-stock 9mm ammo below.

If you also prefer a 115 grain bullet for self-defense, then training with this cost-effective and reliable ammunition is a fine way to keep your skills sharp.
This round’s full metal jacket flat nose will prevent your weapon’s bore from quickly fouling with lead residue, preserving its accuracy and lessening the need for very frequent cleanings at the range. (Range time is better spent perforating sheets of paper than it is assembling cleaning rods.) This cartridge’s factory fresh and Boxer primed brass casing is the ideal stuff of handloading as well, so it’ll keep you as busy at home as it will during target practice. -

It’s nothing less than Remington’s Range label ammo, made in Lonoke, Arkansas!
This round comes to the party with a 124 grain projectile. Remington could have given it a higher muzzle velocity than 1,110 fps if they wanted to, but instead they chose to keep it subsonic – precisely why this ammo is optimal for suppressed firearms. But no matter what make and model you’re firing, you can trust it to reliably feed this ammo’s copper-jacketed, lead-core FMJ bullets. Nonmagnetic, so you can fire away at any range on your radar!
This ammo features factory fresh reloadable brass cases, Kleanbore Boxer primers that can’t corrode steel, and temperature stable propellant which produces consistent velocity and recoil at both ends of the temperature spectrum. Train with ammo similar to what you’ve chosen for your everyday carry. Teach varmints the meaning of the phrase “I been shot.” It’s Armscor USA 9mm +P!
Let us reiterate the most important thing about this ammo: it is +P. It’s more powerful than standard pressure 9mm, and accordingly delivers more striking energy and a flatter trajectory – at the cost of increased recoil, as well as wear and tear on the firearm itself. Above all else, this ammo is not to be fired in a handgun that isn’t designed for its higher pressure.
Armscor’s American-made (and appropriately named) USA series ammunition is loaded with nonmagnetic projectiles, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and fine reloadable brass cases. Those bullets aren’t just steel-free, of course. They are jacketed hollow points, which fan out after impact to inflict traumatic wound columns. One well placed shot will halt even the toughest threat dead in its tracks! -

Each round in this case propels an extra-heavy 158 grain full metal jacket bullet to a subsonic muzzle velocity of 850 feet per second. By staying well clear of the sound barrier, these bullets avoid creating the cracking noise of most 9mm Parabellum cartridges, with very noticeable sound reduction in combination with a suppressor. Federal's Hi-Shok is an older classic design that feeds well in all ages of pistol and has features which form the basis of most modern jacketed hollow-point (JHP) designs. These 115 grain Hi-Shok bullets match the weight of the most common practice rounds for the caliber so that your plinking sessions share consistent recoil and flight characteristic with this premium defense ammo. The projectiles have a narrow cavity at the tip with segments in the copper jacket leading up to it which assist in expansion even when fired at low velocities out of short-barreled carry pistols. This expansion nearly doubles the diameter of the round after impact and creates a wide wound channel for faster incapacitation which is desired for threatening situations.
These 9x19mm cartridges are assembled using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass casings. The casings are crimped firmly to the bullets' toothed cannelure which helps to prevent setback and dud rounds after repeat chambering while also maintaining consistent bullet seat and overall accuracy. Federal Premium is a well-respected name in American ammo production and offers quality products that are highly sought out by hunters, competitive shooters, law enforcement agencies, and private citizens alike.

When a big dog like PMC resolves to manufacture 9mm ammo in accordance with existing law enforcement protocols, you can be darn sure it’s effective at the all-important job of personal protection.
PMC’s SFX series cartridge showcases their SFHP jacketed hollow point projectile. It achieves up to 2X terminal expansion courtesy of its core and jacket’s integrated flutes and ribs. Its ogive and propellant are both engineered to promote the most reliable feeding possible in a semi-automatic handgun or carbine. And because the 124 grain SFHP has a lower muzzle velocity of 1,126 fps, you’ll have less recoil and accompanying muzzle rise to accommodate while you’re firing in defense of your life.
PMC is a subsidiary of the Poongsan Corporation. It is one of South Korea’s preeminent metal working machinery manufacturers, and the reason why PMC’s bullets and virgin brass cases are so consistently high in quality. This ammo is neither corrosive nor magnetic – but it is most certainly reloadable. -

Then you’re looking in the right place, because we have StelTH by Ammo Inc.! This ammo will keep the interior of your suppressor cleaner and help a suppressed pistol or carbine perform even more quietly.
This cartridge is loaded with Ammo Inc.’s signature Hyperclean Technology propellant. It’s formulated to reduce carbon fouling inside the action, barrel and suppressor. The total metal jacket bullet is also incapable of depositing lead residue before exiting the suppressor, so you’ll have even less fouling to deal with while you’re cleaning your equipment. (Aside from its fully encapsulated core, the TMJ delivers the same in-flight and terminal ballistics as an FMJ.)
StelTH 9mm ammo’s very low 800 fps muzzle velocity issues a relatively quiet report when it’s fired in an unsuppressed firearm. But when the slow-moving 165 grain bullet passes through a suppressor, its report becomes even softer!
Ammo Inc. loads this ammo with non-corrosive Boxer primers and their own mint brass cases. Its bullets may be special, but this ammo’s cases are Ammo Inc.’s usual consistent work and worth handloading. -

PMC SFX 9mm 124 Grain JHP – 50 Rounds
$24.85Manufacturer PMC Condition New Bullet Weight 124 Grain Bullet Type Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Use Type home defense Casing Type Brass Quantity 50 Ammo Caliber 9mm Luger (9x19) Manufacturer SKU 9SFX Primer Type Boxer Magnetic No UPC Barcode 741569010788 Cost Per Round 49.7¢ per round A great self-defense bullet must do two things: feed without getting stuck, and expand after striking the threat. Precision Made Cartridges (PMC) of South Korea carefully designed their SFHP projectile to do both!
This cartridge is loaded with a 124 grain SFHP. It is a jacketed hollow point with an ogive that is engineered to feed just as efficiently as a round nose FMJ. It significantly reduces the risk of a feeding jam compromising your safety while you’re firing at the threat. The SFHP additionally features integral flutes and ribs – both of which enable it to expand with relatively little force.
This round’s 1,126 fps muzzle velocity is relatively low for its bullet weight, although it still provides sufficient energy transfer for defensive applications at close range. More importantly, it will reduce muzzle rise so you have an easier time keeping your sights trained on the threat.
PMC outfits their SFX series cartridges with new and reloadable brass cases, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and propellant which promotes unerring functionality in all semi-automatic firearms. -
Ammo Inc. StelTH 9mm 165 Grain TMJ – 50 Rounds
$25.85Manufacturer Stelth Condition New Bullet Weight 165 Grain Bullet Type Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) Use Type indoor range shooting, plinking at the range Casing Type Brass Quantity 50 Ammo Caliber 9mm Luger (9x19) Manufacturer SKU 9165TMC-STL Primer Type Boxer Magnetic No UPC Barcode 818778022199 Cost Per Round 51.7¢ per round When you screw a suppressor to the muzzle of your 9mm pistol or carbine, you want the quietest gunshots possible – that’s the whole point of a suppressor. Ammo Inc.’s American-made StelTH line of ammunition is designed to make your suppressor more effective at its job. It also makes cleaning easier!
You may have noticed right away that this round’s bullet is uncommonly heavy at 165 grains. It’s too inert to accelerate to anywhere near the speed of sound, and its report is much quieter as the result. With a suppressor’s help, this ammo delivers very subtle performance.
The TMJ bullet has the same lead core as an ordinary FMJ, but it does not leave the tail end of its core exposed to propellant gasses. The TMJ still deposits some copper fouling, but its inability to produce vaporized lead during ignition leaves a barrel and suppressor much cleaner in the process.
This ammo is additionally loaded with Ammo Inc.’s Hyperclean Technology propellant. It reliably ignites to create normal chamber pressures, and it is also engineered to minimize fouling from partially ignited powder. Brass-cased and reloadable! -

Lawman cartridges produce the same ballistics and recoil as the more expensive Gold Dot loads so you can get realistic practice at a low price.
Each round in this box of 50 fires a heavy 147 grain total metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 985 feet per second. This is a subsonic velocity that works well with suppressed firearms.
Speer Lawman ammo uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases; it is loaded in Lewiston, Idaho.Customer Reviews

Federal Classic Hi-Shok 9mm 115 Grain JHP - 50 Rounds
$29.85Manufacturer Federal Condition New Bullet Weight 115 Grain Bullet Type Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Use Type home defense Casing Type Brass Quantity 50 Ammo Caliber 9mm Luger (9x19) Manufacturer SKU 9BP Primer Type Boxer Magnetic No UPC Barcode 029465088163 Cost Per Round 59.7¢ per round Hi-Shok rounds from Federal are a classic choice for 9mm defense which will function in a wide range of firearms. Before Federal Hydrashoks and HSTs were common names in shooting circles, Hi-Shok pioneered features that are now common in all brands of high quality jacketed hollow-point (JHP) ammunition. JHP rounds are guarded in the rear to reduce lead exposure while their wide head cavities cause expansion after impact in order to create a wider wound cavity and contribute to faster incapacitation in personal defense situations. Hi-Shok JHPs are further enhanced by a pre-segmented jacket which helps the bullet to expand reliably even after low velocity contact out of short barreled pistols.
Hi-Shok cartridges also feature a positive case crimp to the toothed cannelure of the projectile. This prevents bullet setback during repeated chambering which could cause a failure-to-fire or an even more catastrophic failure. The projectiles weigh in at 115 grain and match the recoil impulse and flight characteristics of the most popular bullet profile in the 9x19mm Luger caliber. Hi-Shok rounds were designed to function reliably in pistols that may not feed with typical wide mouth hollow-points. The cartridges are assembled using reloadable brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers.

Hornady American Gunner 9mm +P 124 Grain JHP – 250 Rounds
$199.85Manufacturer Hornady Condition New Bullet Weight 124 Grain Bullet Type XTP Use Type home defense Casing Type Brass Quantity 250 Ammo Caliber 9mm Luger (9x19) Manufacturer SKU 90224 Primer Type Boxer Magnetic No UPC Barcode 10090255902249 Cost Per Round 79.9¢ per round Hunting. Personal protection. Law enforcement. When terminal ballistics matter, you can trust the eXtreme Terminal Performance (XTP) projectile by Hornady!
This 9mm +P cartridge is armed with a 124 grain XTP. The jacketed hollow point bullet’s gilding metal shell totally covers the rim of its nose cavity, thus fortifying it for more reliable feeding in a semi-auto. The XTP’s swaged lead core is totally uniform in density, which enables its concentric jacket to achieve peak gyroscopic stability in flight.
The XTP’s shielded nose cavity also prevents premature deformation during impact. As it sinks into soft tissue, the bullet’s skived jacket peels back to produce up to 1.5X diameter expansion. The jacket becomes progressively thicker toward its base to promote exceptionally uniform expansion across a wide range of impact velocities.
Hornady outfits their famous XTP with a premium brass case, responsive primer and even-burning powder to provide the reliable performance which brings peace of mind. Please note that this is overpressure ammo. It generates higher than standard chamber pressure to give its bullet a greater muzzle velocity, flatter trajectory and more energy transferral on impact, but you must make certain your handgun is rated for +P before running this ammo through it! -

So long as your pistol or pistol caliber carbine is chambered for 9mm, this ammo is going to turn it into an effective tool for personal protection. It’s also swell for hunting varmints and predators!
This cartridge features a 115 grain XTP jacketed hollow point. The bullet’s swaged lead core has superbly uniform weight distribution, and Hornady’s jackets are among the most concentric on the market. Those two features make the XTP so balanced that it’s commonly used for competitive shooting as well.
Around the XTP’s rim sit multiple notches, which help the jacket easily split apart into symmetrical sections even after low-velocity impact. The XTP’s jacket is drawn in such a way that leaves no exposed lead around its nose. That helps to prevent a feeding jam, and it also helps the XTP to penetrate a barrier without taking on damage that would have inhibited uniform terminal expansion.
Hornady is an all-American ammo manufacturer. They have produced fine ammo in Nebraska for over 70 years now, and they always load the high-quality brass cases and reliable explosive components smooth performance demands. -
